Mr Rental Capalaba Achieves Top Franchise Award

October 16, 2009

Mr Rental Capalaba has just been awarded the top Mr Rental franchise “Above the Line" title, which was awarded to Greg and Natalie Nash at the Mr Rental Annual Franchise Conference in Melbourne over the weekend.

Franchisees Mr and Mrs Nash were triumphant among over 47 Mr Rental stores throughout Australia, and this is the second time they have been honoured with this prestigious award, with the first time a few years ago in 2004.

Finalists for the Above the Line Award are acknowledged for their ability to always live above the line in their professional dealings and attitude; that is with ownership, accountability and responsibility. Living above the line and following the organisation’s 12 points of culture are an intrinsic part of the network’s values systems.

The store was also a finalist for the Mr Rental Community Involvement Award, due to its sponsorship of the local Aussie Rules team, the Alex Hills Bombers, as well as supporting other local and international charities including the Smith Family, the Cancer Council and Medicins San Frontieres.

Mr Rental General Manager, Alan Payne, congratulated Mr and Mrs Nash and their team of four on achieving the prestigious award.

“Greg has been the Chairman of the Mr Rental Franchise Advisory Council since 2008, and has done an especially enviable job in building a productive relationship between the franchisor and the franchisees, whereby we are able to provide the support and tools franchisees need to build a successful business," he said.

Mr and Mrs Nash opened one of the very first Mr Rental stores in Australia, back in 2003. They are both qualified Chartered Accountants and had been working in various management positions in Australia and the US, before moving to Brisbane in 2000 and deciding to open a franchise business. Mr Nash said the couple put their success down to their supportive family, and an equally supportive local business network.

“Providing exceptional customer service every time is something we are passionate about, and is a non-negotiable in the business. Our primary success is derived from treating all our customers equally and with honesty and respect. We treat all our customers as though they are our number one client and have fostered a loyalty that has helped us grow our business to where it is today," Mr Nash said.

Indeed, the service offered by Mr Rental franchises across Australia has grown in demand among local families, due to a trend of renting rather than buying white goods and appliances, particularly in the current economy.

“Renting is an attractive option for families looking to maximise their cashflow by not having to purchase big ticket items outright, while ensuring they’re not denying their family’s basic needs," Mr Nash said.

“We supply fridges, TV’s, washers, dryers, televisions, sound systems, game consoles and even furniture and fitness equipment within 24 hours and look after any repairs or issues with any of the appliances," he said.
