Mr Rental Rockingham Achieves Second Place In Franchise Council Awards Finalist

August 27, 2009

Mr Rental Rockingham has just been awarded second place in the Franchise Council Australia (FCA) 2009 Awards Single Franchisee category.

Franchisees Kier and Sam Forsyth opened Mr Rental Rockingham in 2004, building a team of four employees. Finalists for the FCA Awards were judged across many different categories, including their business performance, leadership, involvement within both the franchise group and local community, among many others.

First place in the FCA 2009 Awards Single Franchisee category was awarded to another Mr Rental franchise, Mr Rental South-West.

Mr Rental General Manager, Alan Payne, congratulated Mr and Mrs Forsyth and the Rockingham team on the prestigious award.

“The Forsyth’s are Mr Rental Franchise Advisory Committee state representatives , a role that benefits the Western Australian franchisees, as it brings their issues and challenges as a collective to the awareness of the Support Office and provides an opportunity for resolution and further support where needed," he said.

Mr Payne also commended Mr and Mrs Forsyth’s social responsibility and involvement in the local community, which ranges from their ongoing commitment to attaining a carbon neutral environment, to raising money and providing donations for The Cancer Council, Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal, the Telethon to support kids in WA, the Leukemia Foundation, Rockingham Soccer Club, Secret Harbour T-Ball and Rockingham Hockey.

Mr Forsyth puts their success down to a supportive family, and an equally supportive local business network.

“We have been involved with the Rockingham Kwinana Business Network Inc from 2004 to 2006, including a period as Chairperson. This group involves small business owners in the area who have a weekly breakfast meeting for networking," he said.

Providing exceptional customer service every time is something Mr and Mrs Forsyth and their team are passionate about, and is a non-negotiable in the business.

“Our primary success is derived by treating all our customers equally and with honesty and respect. We treat all our customers as though they are our number one client and have fostered a loyalty that has helped us grow our business to where it is today," Mr Forsyth said.

Indeed, the service offered by Mr Rental franchises across Australia has grown in demand among local families, due to a trend of renting rather than buying white goods and appliances, particularly in the current economy.
