Franchisees Dave and Therese Winstone accepted the award at the Mr Rental Annual Franchise Conference in Melbourne, Australia, over the weekend. The Winstones, along with their team, were triumphant among 18 Mr Rental stores throughout New Zealand. Mr Rental General Manager, Alan Payne, congratulated the team of five on achieving the prestigious awards
“Dave is an inspiring leader and is very active in following and supporting the Mr Rental systems and engaging with the National Support Office at every opportunity with feedback. He and his team are deserving recipients of the award this year.”
The Mr Rental Auckland West store has maintained a strong presence in the local community, having recently supported the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day, as well as sponsoring two touch rugby teams and in the past supporting the Waitakere Rugby Club.
Mr Winstone, who opened his Te Atatu Mr Rental business in March 2004, said his most important priority in business is providing exceptional customer service every time.“We treat all our customers as though they are our number one client and have fostered a loyalty that has helped us grow our business to where it is today,” Mr Winstone said.
He and Mrs Winstone are looking forward to opening their second store in New Lynn in January.Indeed, the service offered by Mr Rental franchises across New Zealand has grown in demand among local families, due to a trend of renting rather than buying white goods and appliances, particularly in the current economy.
“Renting is an attractive option for families looking to maximise their cashflow by not having to purchase big ticket items outright, while ensuring they’re not denying their family’s basic needs,” Mr Winstone said.“We supply fridges, TV’s, washers, dryers, televisions, sound systems, game consoles and even furniture and fitness equipment within 24 hours and look after any repairs or issues with any of the appliances,” he said.
